These parties are usually not forgotten, Ever wonder why <flash back moments> Hey mommy (or dad) guess what next month is...... guess what is in 2 weeks..... in 2 days its my.... Did you know I want a (expensive item here) for my Birthday....<flash back ends> Guess we will never know the answer to that one will we.
So since we cant forget when the birthday is planning the party should be a bit easier. There are normally 2 types of party's used for you kids special day. A normal he knows its coming party or a Surprise party.
Either way its going to take some time planning, The surprise party can be bit harder to get past an older child if you can the impact on them is pretty nice. The draw back for a surprise party is that it is not quite the impact on younger children.
As we Know the basics for a party are :
- How many people / Children going to be there
- How long the party is, when it starts, when it ends
- Where its at
- Food
- Decorations
- Activities and entertainment
If its a surprise party all the basics need to be kept secret from the Birthday person.
So in order to make this the best Birthday party ever you take the basics and add in things that will make the person the party for just rave about till there next party.
Things like :
- Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Swirl Cake? Or maybe they don't like cake maybe a pie, or ice cream cake.
- What there favorite Activities are and incorporate that if they love video games have the party at a Arcade (Nickle Arcades are great for this - and always see if there is a discount on parties you may find some will give you one)
- Food is always something pizza is always good but if you know you kid loves hot dogs maybe make the party Outdoors and serve up some hot dogs.
- Decorations are always a tough thing, So pick something they like, if there into a sport use that as a bases for the party, Example Katlin love's Soccer : So have the party in a park or large field where you can set up some crazy fun games having to do with soccer, serve up some burgers and hot dogs, chips. and decorate the soccer goals with ribbons (the team colors if they are on one) maybe even a few balloons in the goals net (if its not windy)
- Activities should be something they will enjoy , not something you will enjoy this is about the birthday kid not you ( though you should get a party just dealing with all this Hint Hint)
